St. Louis has a lot of great recreational spots to explore, and we're going to tell you all about them.
The Riverfront is one of the most popular places in town, with lots of restaurants and bars, as well as museums and parks. There's also a boat launch that goes to the Mississippi River, where you can see a variety of different boats going by.
If you're looking for something more outdoorsy, check out Cherokee Park. It is one of St. Louis best parks It's got hiking trails, playgrounds, and a beach where you can swim or just relax on the sand. And if you want to play some sports? The park includes two baseball diamonds and two soccer fields—perfect for kids' games!
And if you're looking for music? You'll love Fountain Park! This large grassy area has several stages set up for concerts throughout the summer months. There are also plenty of benches where people can sit down and enjoy their favorite tunes while enjoying some food from nearby restaurants or even buying some souvenirs from vendors around town selling everything from T-shirts to hats!
One of the main attractions in St. Louis is the Gateway Arch, which is located on the Mississippi Riverfront. It's one of the most recognizable symbols of the city and was completed in 1967 at an estimated cost of $14 million dollars! Take a stroll through St. Louis and explore the iconic Gateway Arch for an unforgettable experience. You can take a tram to the top of the arch and take in stunning views of the city, or hop on a riverboat cruise to get up close and personal with this majestic monument. Another great spot to visit is The Arch grounds itself, which include museums and other exhibits related to architecture and design throughout history (it even includes an art gallery). There are also plenty of parks throughout the area with hiking trails and playgrounds for kids (and dogs!).
If you're looking for something a little more adventurous, try climbing one of the many hills around town—the Prairie View Hills State Park has over 30 miles' worth of trails! Then again, if you're looking for something more relaxing than hiking or playing sports… there are plenty of hot springs around St. Louis that might just be what you're looking for!

Hiking
For a quick hike or a longer trek, the Forest Park trails are a great option. They're open year-round and reach up to 30 miles long! The trails are paved and easy to follow. You'll find everything from wooded areas to grasslands, so there's something for everyone.
If you'd rather go off-road and get your feet wet, the Katy Trail is a great option for those who want more adventure. There are over 200 miles of hiking trails that wind through forests and fields—perfect for wildlife watching!
Camping
The camping season runs from April through October at Camping World near Tower Grove Park (and they have an entire website dedicated to camping in St. Louis). They offer RV sites with full hookups as well as tent campsites with picnic tables and fireplaces.
There are tons of parks and trails to explore, plus you can always try your hand at some local sports like baseball or soccer.

Gladstone Park
This is one of the oldest parks in St. Louis, and it's absolutely gorgeous! You can hike through the woods, play on the swings and slides, or even swim in the lake. It is one of St. Louis best parks. It's a great place for families with kids because there are plenty of things for them to do—and adults too!
The Old Post Office Plaza
There are several different spots around this area where you can find free concerts every weekend throughout the summer months. The venue is huge and includes an amphitheater and a farmer's market. It's also just minutes from downtown St. Louis by car! Try out some local brews at one of many breweries around town while watching bands play live music under twinkling lights at nightfall before heading home with a smile on your face!
If you'd rather stay dry during your next beach day, then check out Washington Island State Park which is located just offshore from the city of St. Louis! There are two beaches for swimming & sunbathing as well as a variety of other amenities including camping areas & restrooms!
