"The Godfather" (1972) directed by Francis Ford Coppola - Considered one of the greatest films ever made, "The Godfather," tells the story of the Corleone crime family and their patriarch, Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando). The film explores themes of power, family, and loyalty, and features iconic performances from its all-star cast. The Shawshank Redemption is one of the best movies of all time and a great watch for anyone looking for an exciting, action-packed story. The movie follows the story of two prisoners, Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) and Ellis "Red" Redding (Morgan Freeman). They form an unlikely friendship as they try to survive life in Shawshank prison. With great characters and gripping performances by its cast, this movie will have you glued to your seat from start to finish. "The Shawshank Redemption" (1994) directed by Frank Darabont - This film, based on a Stephen King novella, follows the story of Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins), a man who is wrongfully convicted of murder and sent to Shawshank prison. The film delves into the lives of the inmates and explores themes of hope, redemption, and the human spirit. Another of my personal best movie of all time.     

3.         3. Schindler’s List  

      Another top must-watch movie is Schindler’s List. Directed by Steven Spielberg, this historical drama tells the story of a German businessman (Oskar Schindler), who managed to save more than 1,000 Jews during the Holocaust. This film is an eye-opener and heart-wrenching story that will show you how love and courage can triumph in even the darkest moments. With powerful performances from its cast. A powerful and emotional film, this is one movie you don't want to miss. This film is a heart-wrenching look at the atrocities of war and the importance of standing up against injustice.  

      4.    The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

The Return of the King" (2003) directed by Peter Jackson - The third and final film in Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic fantasy trilogy, "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" concludes the story of hobbit Frodo Baggins and his quest to destroy the One Ring and defeat the Dark Lord Sauron. The film features stunning special effects and an epic storyline. It is really one of the must-watch movies of all time, actually three LOL because these are three parts.                                                   

      5. The Silence of the Lambs

The silence of the lambs is a 1991 psychological horror film directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Jodie Foster as Clarice Sterling, an FBI agent tasked with tracking down a serial killer known as Buffalo Bill. The film also features a chilling performance by Anthony Hopkins as the cannibalistic Dr. Hannibal Lecter, who is serving a life sentence in prison. The film follows Clarice as she delves into the mind of the killer, using the insights of Dr. Lecter to help her understand the motivations of the killer. The film is a masterful blend of horror, suspense, and crime thriller. It explores themes of power, manipulation, and the disturbing nature of the human mind. The film was a critical and commercial success, winning five Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for Hopkins. The film has become a cultural touchstone and is widely considered one of the greatest psychological thrillers of all time. One of the best movies for sure.

Black Panther is a 2018 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, and Danai Gurira as Okoye. The story follows T'Challa as he becomes king of Wakanda, a technologically advanced African nation, after the death of his father. T'Challa must also come to terms with his role as the Black Panther, Wakanda's protector, and take on Killmonger, a powerful outsider with a personal vendetta against Wakanda. The film was widely praised for its diverse cast, representation of African culture, and thought-provoking themes. It was a box office success, grossing over $1.3 billion worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing film by a black director. Black Panther also received numerous awards and nominations, including seven Academy Award nominations and three wins. It is my personal one of the top movies of all time to watch with your family.                                                           

7.          7. Seven (1995)

Seven is a 1995 crime thriller film directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. The film follows two detectives, David Mills (Pitt) and William Somerset (Freeman), as they investigate a series of brutal murders that are based on the seven deadly sins. As the detectives delve deeper into the case, they are forced to confront their own personal demons and the darkness that lies within humanity. The film is known for its gritty and disturbing subject matter, as well as its strong performances from the lead actors and its iconic ending. Despite its disturbing themes, the film was a commercial and critical success and is considered a classic of the crime genre. Personally, I felt very bad at the end of the movie and it is not for the faint-hearted. 

8.           8. Parasite

The parasite is a South Korean film and a must-watch movie of all time directed by Bong Joon-ho. In this movie, there is the story of the Kim family, who are struggling to make ends meet in their cramped and rundown apartment in a lower-income neighborhood of Seoul. The family consists of parents Ki-take and Chung-sook, and their adult children, Ki-woo and Ki-Jung. Things take a turn for the better when Ki-woo is offered a tutoring job for the daughter of the wealthy Park family. He convinces his family members to pose as unrelated, highly qualified experts in various fields and infiltrate the Park household. As they start to ingratiate themselves into the Park family's lives, they begin to uncover the hidden secrets and lies that hold the family together. The film explores themes of class struggle, greed, and the human desire for upward mobility. The film was a critical and commercial success, winning the Palme d'Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and receiving six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director for Bong Joon-ho. It went on to win four awards including Best Original Screenplay, Best International Feature Film, and Best Director.

9.           9. Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is a 1994 American epic romantic-comedy-drama film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Eric Roth. The film stars Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson, and Sally Field. The film is based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom.

The story follows Forrest Gump, a simple man with a low IQ who leads an extraordinary life. He accidentally becomes a part of some of the key events of the 20th century while remaining a relatively simple-minded individual. The film follows Forrest's journey through life, from his childhood in Greenbow, Alabama to his adulthood as a successful shrimp boat captain. Along the way, he enlists in the army and fights in the Vietnam War, becomes a successful businessman, and even meets three U.S. presidents. He also starts a friendship with a girl named Jenny Curran, who becomes a major part of his life. Throughout the film, Forrest narrates his life story to strangers who sit next to him on a bench in a park.

The film was critically acclaimed and commercially successful, grossing over $677 million worldwide during its theatrical run. It won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for Tom Hanks, and it became one of the highest-grossing films of all time. 50  First Dates is a romantic comedy film released in 2004, directed by Peter Segal and starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. This is one of the best movies to watch in winter. The film tells the story of Henry Roth, a marine veterinarian who falls in love with a woman named Lucy Whitmore, who suffers from short-term memory loss and is unable to remember anything from the previous day. Every morning, Lucy wakes up with no memory of who Henry is or their previous interactions. Despite this, Henry is determined to win her heart and makes it his mission to make her fall in love with him again every day. As their relationship develops, Henry must navigate the challenges of Lucy's condition while trying to find a way to help her retain her memories permanently. The film received mixed reviews from critics, but was a commercial success at the box office and has since become a cult classic. My personal one of the top 5 movies of all time.
